VLC obliga a todos los videos a tener el mismo tamaño, no puede cambiar su tamaño

Todos los videos que intento reproducir con vlc se arreglan con el mismo tamaño, no puedo cambiar su tamaño, lo que obliga a acercar o alejar la ventana.

Intenté purgar la carpeta de configuración, desinstalar y reinstalar. Con otros reproductores de video, los videos funcionan perfectamente como se esperaba.

Lo resolví desinstalando el paquete libvdpau-va-gl1.

Esto se puede resolver desinstalando el paquete libvdpau-va-gl1. Se supone que este paquete proporciona aceleración de hardware. De la descripción del paquete:

Esta biblioteca propone una biblioteca genérica VDPAU. Utiliza OpenGL debajo del capó para acelerar el dibujo y la escala y VA-API (si está disponible) para acelerar la decodificación de video.

Al probar el paquete por mí mismo, no tuve el problema de cambio de tamaño, pero la reproducción fue irregular y mi intercambio se llenó hasta que se bloqueó VLC, por lo que aparentemente puede causar varios problemas. Para desinstalarlo:
